The "Haul Over" historically refers to a narrow beach on northeast side of Nantucket where fishermen (from a bygone era) would drag their boats out of the harbor and literally "Haul" them "Over" this strip of sand, giving them easier access to fertile fishing grounds out east of the island.
“Haul Over” – the store – has been Nantucket’s premier outfitter for nearly 30 years! We work with some of the best brands in the 'Outdoor Lifestyle' category, including Patagonia, Vuori, Helly Hansen, Yeti, Xtratuf, Hestra, Johnnie-O and more! The island has certainly changed, but the need for quality clothing & gear has not.
We are closed in February & March, but remain open the rest of the year. We have a wonderful seasonal and year-round community of customers - and can't thank you enough for supporting our store and the island community. We look forward to seeing you walk through the doors in downtown Nantucket!
